All you need are some basic things that will surely be available in your kitchen. Just use them wisely and you have made yourself an easy healthy dessert recipe. If you have bought an ice cream mix, from one of the stores just follow the instruction given by the manufacturer. Otherwise just follow the instructions given below:
Utensils required:
• One sauce pan.
• An ice cream scoop and a bowl.
• A hand held electric mixer
• One wooden spoon
• One shallow container with a lid.
Easy recipe to make vanilla ice cream:
Ingredients:
• A cup of milk
• 2 cups of whipping cream
• One cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup half and half
• 2 cups cookies.
Pour the milk in a saucepan and scald it. Heat it on a medium flame till it reaches 150 degree F or until it starts bubbling in the edges. Then stop heating it and keep it aside.
Add the sugar and some salt in the saucepan containing milk and stir is well till it gets dissolved. But make sure you have removed the milk from the stove.
Now cool the milk to around 60 degree F as soon as you can. To do this keep the bowl in a bigger bowl filled with iced water.
When the mixture is cooled just close it with a plastic lid and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. It is advised to keep it in the refrigerator for 24hrs. Allowing it to cool makes it easy to whip and the texture of the ice cream becomes better.
When the chilling process is over just take the bowl out and stir the mixture well. Take the mixture in a container, close the lid and place it in the freezer for 2 hours.
After two hours remove it from the freezer and beat it with a hand blender. That makes the ice crystals break and then place it in the freezer again for another hour or two.
Repeat the process again, take the bowl out and beat it and this time the mixture will be smooth and too easy to scoop. If it doesn’t look so keep it back in the freezer.
After some time take it out and check. If the ice cream is thick enough put some cookies and chocolate chips and mix it. Place it back in the freezer and when it hard enough take it out, scoop and serve. Happy Cooking!
